Govardhan Asrani is one of the most famous and prominent actor of Bollywood. He was born on January 1st, 1941 at Jaipur in Rajasthan. Also he is very popular by the name of Asrani in the industry and has given many superb performances in several movies. His career has spanned over thirty five year. In his starting, he came to Poona and there, he studied the Acting course. After a short time, he also became Director of the same Film Institute. He is very well known for his versatality as well as comedian roles which he played very fine in his whole career. His career included more than three hundred films including Hindi and Gujrati. Asrani is married with Manju Bansal who is also a film actress. He started his career in the year 1967 with the movie ‘Umang‘. He played the role of a college mate in the movie alongwith Biswajeet in leading role.

The movie earned him some rare views and soon he starred in another movie titled ‘Satyakam’ in the year 1969. Later he started to appear in many successful movies such as Mere Apne (1971), Guddi (1971), Shor (1972), Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Koshish (1972), Bawarchi (1972), Parichay (1972), Namak Haraam (1973) etc. He established himself with the movie ‘Guddi’ in which he played as Kundan. In the same year, he starred in another hit movie titled ‘Parichay’ alongwith Jeetendra. He played as Narayan, a driver in the movie. Later in the year 1973, he starred in nine movies among which the movie ‘Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar’ earned him the Filmfare Best Comedian Award in 1974. After getting this award, he started to get several offers in the movies. As a result he starred in thirteen movies in the year 1974 starting from ‘Trimurti’ to ‘Roti‘.

His role in the movie Roti as Ramu, the friend of Shravan was also appreciated. Also he has given special appearance in the movie Mili in 1975. Also he has appeared in several hit movies such as Chupke Chupke (1975), Chhoti Si Baat (1975), Chaitali (1975), Balika Badhu (1976), Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan (1978), Heeralal Pannalal (1978), Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1981) etc. Apart from his acting career, he has also tried his hand in the field of direction and has directed some movies such as Amdavad No Rikshawalo 1974, Chala Murari Hero Banne (1977), Salaam Memsaab (1979), Hum Nahin Sudhrenge (1980), Dil Hi To Hai (1992) and Udaan (1997). Also he has sung two songs in the movie Alaap, both were picturised onto him. Also he has sung a duet with the singing legend Kishore Kumar for the film Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan.

Sikandar Khanna starred movie ‘Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan‘ was released in 1978. The movie is full of family drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Moushumi Chatterjee whereas the supproting roles were played by Ashok Kumar, Amjad Khan, Asrani, Helen, Mukri, Paintal, Ranjeet, Shreeram Lagoo, Chandrashekhar, Leela Mishra, Shivraj, Asit Sen etc. The movie was produced by Surinder Kapoor whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Asha Bhosle, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammad Rafi. The movie is based on the rectifying of a person who has fallen in every bad habbits. In the begining of the movie, an old aged man named Lala Ganpat Rai (Ashok Kumar) lives a very wealthy lifestyle in the city alongwith his grandson named Vishal Rai (Rishi Kapoor). He has several acres of land in his village where he has opened the farm. On the other hand his grandson, Vishal having so much of wealth and has fulfil his all desires, becomes a spoiled brat. He also starts taking alcohol and womanizing in a big way. Soon his grandfather comes to know about his bad habbits and as a result he instructs his lawyers to make it conditional that Vishal will not receive any money from his side or property from his estate unless he fulfills either of two conditions. The first condition is, he has to marry a woman of Rai’s choice and also has selected that woman named Shalini who will inherit half of the property.

The second condition is in order for Vishal to inherit all of the property he must re-locate to their farmhouse in a village. There he has to cultivate a piece of land and grow some crops on it within one year. After hearing these conditions, Vishal gets enraged at this and neither of the two conditions are acceptable to him. But soon he reconsiders this again and decides to fulfil the second condition. Later he alongwith half a dozen friends travel to the village. There they set a comfortable accomodation and later try to cultivate the land. But soon Vishal and his friends are accused of molesting and raping a village belle which leads to her suicide. As a result, his friends disappear, leaving Vishal alone to carry out the mammoth task of cultivating the land.Now Vishal is alone and in order to inherit the full property, he has to stay there in every condition.

A very famous and prominent actor in Bollywood named Om Puri was born on October 18th, 1950 at Ambala in Haryana. Later he spent early part of his life in Sanaur, Punjab. He was born to the family of Lala Nihal Chand and Ved Kaur and also had two brothers named Madan Puri and Amrish Puri both of whom also became actors. He also has a younger sister named Chandrakanta. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India. He is also an alumnus of the 1973 class of National School of Drama where Naseeruddin Shah was a co-student. He is famous for his appearance in both mainstream Indian Cinema films as well as art films. Also he is a very versatile actor and famous for his versatality. Not only Indian movies, he has also appeared in in British and American films and also received an honorary OBE.

Om Puri made his debut in the movies in Bollywood with the movie ‘Ghashiram Kotwal’ in the year 1976. The movie was based on a Marathi play having the same name. He was paid “peanuts” for his best work. Later he collaborated with his brother Amrish Puri as well as his co-student, Naseeruddin Shah in several movies such as Bhavani Bhavai (1980), Sadgati (1981), Ardh Satya (1982), Mirch Masala (1986) and Dharavi (1992). Also he has made two successful movies in Punjabi titled as ‘Chan Pardesi’ (1980) and ‘Long Da Lishkara’ (1986). He is highly acclaimed in the industry for his unconventional roles which he played in several Hindi movies such as Aakrosh (1980) and also in ‘Disco Dancer‘ (1982) where he played as Jimmy’s manager. Later he starred in another movie ‘Ardh Satya’ in the year 1983 for which he was highly appreciated.

Also the movie earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor in 1984 and before he has also won the same award for the movie Aarohan. The movie ‘Aakrosh’ in 1981 also won him Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award. He has starred in many British films also such as My Son the Fanatic (1997), East is East (1999) and The Parole Officer (2001). Also he has starred in some Hollywood films including City of Joy (1992), opposite Patrick Swayze; Wolf (1994) alongside Jack Nicholson and The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) opposite Val Kilmer. Apart from fims, he has worked in several TV serials such as Kakkaji Kaheen (1988) and Mr. Yogi (1989). Both the serials made Om Puri a comedy sensation. He also essayed comic roles in Hindi films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron which reached a cult status, followed by Chachi 420 (1997), Hera Pheri (2000), Chor Machaye Shor (2002) and Malamaal Weekly (2006). K. Raghavendra Rao directed movie ‘Justice Chaudhury‘ was released on July 15th, 1983. The movie is full of comedy, action and family drama and the lead roles in the movie were played by Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Sridevi and Moushumi Chatterjee whereas the supporting roles were played by Arun Govil, Bharat Bhushan, Raj Kiran, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Asrani, Prema Narayan, Rajendra Nath, Satyendra Kapoor and many more. The movie is based on proper family drama in which a Judge and his family are included. In the begining of the movie, Justice R.K. Chaudhary (Jeetendra) lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his wife named Janki Chaudhary (Moushumi Chatterjee) and a daughter named Lakshmi who is unfortunately a dumb. He also has a son named Ramesh (Arun Govil) who is a Police Inspector and of a marriageable age. Later he gets married with Lata and gets settle. Only Lakshmi is left to get marry but the problem is nobody is ready to marry her due to her this disability. On the other hand, R. K. Chaudhary is a honest and justice loving judge. Later one day, he comes across a smuggler named Shanker Singh (Shakti Kapoor). After hearing all the appeals, he decides to give him the penalty of death.

As a result he creates many enemieswith the smuggler brother Jai Singh and his lawyer Kailashnath (Kader Khan). Then both of them comes to know about Lakshmi and decides to trap her in their trap. Therefore they sent their own henchman Gopal (Raj Kiran) to trick the justice and marry his daughter. Hearing the proposal of his daughter’s marriage, Chaudhary gets pleased. Soon he married his daughter with him but soon the truth comes in front when those people began to trouble his daughter. Still he does not bow his head. Soon they plant false evidence to get his son jail. Later a young guy named Ramu (Jeetendra) meets with Rekha (Sridevi) who is the daughter of Kailashnath and soon falls in love with her. But then they comes to know that Ramu is none other than the son of Chaudhary and start poisoning his mind against his father.

Inder Sen Johar songs

A famous actor in Hindi Cinema named Inder Sen Johar was born on February 16th, 1920 at Talagang (which is now in Pakistan) in British India. He was better known as I. S. Johar in the industry. Apart from his acting career, he was also a writer, producer and director and has directed several movies. Later he studied at F.C. College in Lahore where he completed his graduation degree of Bachelor of Arts. He became interested in films from his college life. At that time Bollywood was located at Lahore where both Hindi and Punjabi films were made. Soon he became production assistant, screenwriter and finally director’s assistant and an actor in front of the camera. He was married with Ramma Bans in 1943 and the couple had a son named Anil Johar and a daughter before they divorced. Later he remarried four times and also has another daughter named Ambika Johar.

I. S. Johar was once travelling to Patiala with his family for a wedding when riots broke out. After that he never got back to his Lahore home. Later he started to work in Jalandhar and his family shifted to Delhi. Eventually he moved to Bombay to try his luck in films. Soon he started his career in the year 1949 with the movie ‘Ek Thi Ladki’. Soon he established himself and later starred in several movies from the 1950s through to the early 1980s. Also he has played cameos in international films such as Harry Black (1958), North West Frontier (1959), Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and Death on the Nile (1978). Also he has appeared in few Punjabi films such as Chaddian Di Doli (1966), Nanak Naam Jahaaz Hai (1969) with Prithviraj Kapoor and Yamla Jatt with Helen. Later he also tried his hands in writing and direction and has directed movies such as Johar Mehmood in Goa and Johar Mehmood in Hong Kong (1971).

In 1970, he starred in the movie ‘Johny Mera Naam‘ in which he played the role of Pehle Ram, Dooja Ram and Teeja Ram alongwith superstar Dev Anand. The movie was a big hit at the box office and also he won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award in 1971 for this movie. Also he was awarded BAFTA Best Actor nomination for Harry Black. Later he starred in many movies such as Tangewala (1972), Ganga Ki Saugandh (1978), Banarasi Babu (1973), Trimurti (1980), Teesri Aankh (1982), Gopichand Jasoos (1982) etc. Also the famous director, Yash Chopra had started his film career as an assistant director with I.S. Johar. He died on March 10th, 1984 in Maharashtra.

Soon he falls in love with her and wants to get married with her. Also she is interested in him and later they both get married secretly in a village temple. After sometime, he has to leave for the city to pursue further education. Soon after she comes to know that she is pregnant. When her step-mother comes to know about her pregnancy, she sells her off for just five hundred rupees and Lajjo is beaten there.

After sometime she gives birth to a baby boy and named Buntu (Master Bunty). After an year, she comes to Bombay in search of Govind with her son. She leaves a letter for him at his doorsteps and want to leave the child but in vain. Later she keeps wandering in the city and at last dies leaving behind her son alone. Later Govind comes to know about the letter she has left behind. Soon he realises his mistake and with the help of police tries to find his wife and son and later only finds his wife’s dead body. On the other hand, the child is rescued by a kind hearted person who is a staff member of an orphanage nearby. But he escapes from there at night and later reaches home to find a statue of his lost mother. Also he meets with a new lady, who is now his new mother.
